Full Bio

ALLORO is a Bay Area–raised artist shaped between San Francisco and the East Bay, grounded in hip hop, grunge, and political lineage. A fourth-generation Sicilian and Azorean American, their work carries island blood: lava and ocean, creation and destruction, threaded through sound and story. They trained for a life in music as a Berklee-educated songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist, preparing for touring with the discipline of an athlete. Their foundation is deeply tied to mentorship and artist lineage. ALLORO came up around musicians and producers whose credits and collaborations span Stevie Wonder, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Childish Gambino, Ari Lennox, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clarke, and Blackalicious, including mentorship from Phife Dawg’s final engineer. This education was rooted in craft, reverence, and legacy. Alongside this lineage, ALLORO has worked backstage and in community with artists including Sa-Roc, Kamaiyah, Sol Development, Su’Lan, and members of Alphabet Soup / Luv Phenomena, shaping a practice grounded as much in relationship as in discipline.Their sound moves through alternative R&B, indie pop, and hip hop lineage, with sonic touchstones closest to Fiona Apple and H.E.R., and deep inspiration drawn from artists like Sa-Roc and Victor Wooten. Formerly releasing work as Fox Rhett and The Goddexx, ALLORO marks an arrival. Alongside releasing music created before they became ill, ALLORO is actively developing new ways of writing, recording, and producing from a radically different physical and creative vantage point. Living with moderate to severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), they use their platform to insist on visibility, access, and truth in both art and life, while building toward more just and sustainable futures for disabled artists.
